The 21 year old homeless woman killed when a tree fell on her tent in Exeter - and incredibly described as 'camping' in local media - was sleeping in the grounds of an empty council building. Now I don't have any sure local information on the building but it would seem possible that the anti-squatting laws played a role in her ending up in a tent in a storm rather than safe in a building.
HAVE ANTI-SQUATTING LAWS CLAIMED FIRST VICTIM?
