desalojo can piella. The resistance has hampered the evicion of  Can Piella that has been extended over six hours

After holding out for more than 5 months since the Court Order the Can Piella ‘Land and Liberty’ occupation was evicted yesterday, on the 2nd anniversary of the start if the 15M ‘Take The Streets’ uprising. The squat had become a symbol of anarchist type collective action, permaculture, and resistance to rampant capitalist speculation, with countless mobilisations and widespread public support, even by local councils.

The eviction comes on the same day as an ”anti terrorist” raid detained 5 local anarchists see here and in the context of a 15M offensive, with demonstrations and new occupations daily. See  here,  here  here  and here (Catalan) View full article »

On May 15th 2011, millions of people started a process of social change, giving a clear and unmistakable signal that we are not merchandise in the hands of politicians and bankers, we have been publicly and massively expressing that the representative democracy is dying. The political class have not understood the message. Despite the growing protests and the outcry of upset people, these ruling classes are using this crisis to plunder the common wealth, risking the lives of people.12m15m View full article »

Me and Barney had lucked out. I never met Christy Peters but I loved his pad, he was Clan Orca, like a lot of mariners, and merchants. They still used money for trade, though not in their personal lives. View full article »

love in the Fall of capitalismhello over there,

and good morning/evening/ night to all 264o ‘Friends of The Free’ on Farcebook. I’m sending the latest variation of the Poster..  came out a bit  pink I think..

Maybe you could copy and paste it, or take it to the Anarchist Book Fair. Not much point where I live as nobody can read English!

This poster is done on Gimp, the free photoshop, but it wasn’t me (honestly) who gave a brown bottom to the last Greek policeman!

         chow for now………. mike

A message from Adbusters: Look at what’s happening in Quebec … the boldness of the media democracy movement in Mexico … the teenagers leading an education revolt in Chile … the Pussy Riot inspired art war unnerving Putin in Russia … and the new post-capitalist ways of living being forged in Greeceand Spain.

Witness the growing tempo of green riots across China, the South African minerstrikes, the corruption protests of India, the freedom fight in Bahrain, the tremors of dissent in Saudi Arabia, the total loss of confidence in America’s corporate-funded Coke-Pepsielection show.

Then, add to that the crippling droughts, looming food scarcity, the end of easy oil and the tipping points hovering ominously on the horizon … View full article »

Witnessing the umpteenth attempt demobilization and distraction by the CCOO and UGT and the institutional left, under the umbrella of an alleged Social Summit, right at the time when we suffer the most savage attacks on the rights of workers by capitalism .
We are not facing a crisis, this is a big scam, before the inevitable consequences of capitalism, promoted by the greedy policies of the IMF, World Bank, European Union and the ECB and its political arm in the Spanish state: the PP, the PSOE and his cohorts.
Attacks on workers over the years have been constant, differing in PP and PSOE forms.

Due to the ”crisis” and the Libor loan rate fixing crimes, millions of us have lost or are in danger of losing our homes and/or liberty, while the 1% have moved up to $600 trillions of our credit to tax havens. Amazing but tyrue!

For me the best solution is community real wealth sharing, without money or nations. But this may be some time in coming.

Meanwhile if you’re trapped in debt here’s some ideas for fighting back.

1) Sue the banks, maybe an idea for a large group of pissed off victims. They took billions by rigging the Libor rates. We want it all back.

2)Go public. Don’t blame yourself, ask neighbourhood and occupy groups for help. Because its they who are robbing you!…….. View full article »

‘The police are actually a tiny minority’ Greece 2011

Statement by members of The Alternative – Alternative Red and Green in La Mancha … July 27, 2012

The crisis not only continues but deepens, it becomes worse every day. And there is no escape from capitalism, because this system is in terminal crisis. Just look how governments (all, then and now) do not know what to do, how they lie every day saying that in a few months or years we will see how the cycle changes . But all we’ve seen is sinking living conditions, and the consequences paid by the vast majority. Our lives deteriorate and we lose the social gains that cost us so many struggles. And which we paid for with our work and our taxes, because power has given us nothing. View full article »

Desalojo acampada plaza Cataluny 30-06-2011 Comunicado comisión internacional
by Esplugui 30 Jun 2011

Latest news is at least 42 cities all over Spain and beyond are now swamped with protestors, calling for ‘Real Democracy’, an end to corruption, No more Cuts, and expecially against the Euro Pact to coordinate the repression. No word yet of injuries or arrests
