WASHINGTON, June 14 (UPI) — U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice said the proposed military aid package to Israel is larger than any the United States has ever offered to any country.

Israel cuts water to thousands of Palestinians,  UN says they need minimum 7.5 litres of water per day. Israelis consume 135 litres per day (wikipedia) and US citizens use over 500 litres per day!

The 10-year aid program gives Israel up to $40 billion to upgrade its military aircraft and missile defense systems, and to defend against militants in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, and al-Qaida and Islamic State affiliates in Syria and Egypt.

Speaking Monday in Washington to the American Jewish Committee Global Forum, Rice said the pact would “constitute a significant increase in support.”

With $3.1 billion in 2015, Israel is the biggest beneficiary of U.S. foreign aid. Officials from Israel and the United States have said a $4 billion package for 2016 is under consideration.

Israel Cuts Palestinian Water Supplies in Ramadhan Heat Wave*

Israel has cut water supplies to major areas in the north of the occupied West Bank amid sweltering heat and the Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan.

Reports on Wednesday pointed to the move by the Israeli water authority Mekorot, which has affected tens of thousands of Palestinians.

They listed the targeted areas as the municipality of Jenin, several villages in the Nablus area, and the city of Salfit and its surrounding villages.

Ayman Rabi, the executive director of the Palestinian Hydrology Group, was quoted as saying on Tuesday that in some areas, people had not received water for more than 40 days.ShowImage

“People are relying on purchasing water from water trucks or finding it from alternative sources such as springs and other filling points in their vicinity,” he said.

“Whole families are having to live on two, three or 10 litres per capita per day,” he added.

The Israeli move to cut water supplies comes as summer heat waves have shot the mercury up to 35 degrees Celsius at some places across the occupied territories.

Jenin Mayor Ragheb Al Haj Hassan said that the water had been cut off without prior notice. “Residents suffer badly in this hot weather and at this time of Ramadhan.”

“Israel and Israel only is responsible for the water cuts as agreements signed with Israel clearly state that Mekorot should provide the northern areas of the West Bank with their needs of water,” he said._48882714_005638290-1

In 1967, Israel occupied the West Bank, East al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip, but withdrew from the enclave and laid siege to it in 2005.

Ever since the occupation, Tel Aviv has been enforcing restrictions on the amount of water supplied to the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.     Source*

Susan Rice complains about Israel’s nazi policies to Palestinians, but that’s just words.. it’s obviously the 40 billion free gift that counts.  Water rationing is just one of very many hateful Israeli policies to make life unbearable for Palestinians, or simply kill them. Here’s a small selection of links below.
