Refusal of aid to Haiti shows real level of US humanitarian concern

article-1244225-07e9d54d000005dc-681_634x424The US is happy to spend over $15 million EVERY DAY bombing and droning its enemies in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, etc, but can’t spare the change, offering  a ridiculous $13 million so far to help desperate Hurricane Matthew victims in Haiti, where it has a clear historic and moral responsibility. As of 6 October 2016 only $1.3 million has been specifically reported for the Hurricane Matthew response in Haiti.

JEREMIE, Haiti – Rickety structures made of sheet metal and scrap wood are clustered along the road to the Haitian city of Jeremie, which still hasn’t seen any aid nearly 3 weeks after Hurricane Matthew.

In a scene that is eerily similar to the devastation in Port-au-Prince after the 2010 earthquake, when hundreds of thousands of survivors had to cram into every available space, families are living in makeshift camps. Haiti”s wonderful Cardinal in Church of the Assassins

A little rant against the Church, Slavery, Racism and Capital, then a reblog of Adrianne Aron’s classic essay.16

Haiti will get a CARDINAL. Pope Frances announced, on the 4th  anniversary of the earthquake, with tens of thousands still not rehoused,  and the 10th anniversary of the criminal US organised Coup against The President of the Poor, Jean-Bertrand Aristide, himself a former salesian priest.

Cardinal Langlois is a wonderful man, and so modest, and the western media have been given free rein to gush over him, this is ‘our boy’ and can be trusted not to rock the boat for ”our” corporations, like Aristide did. (see here Haitians oppressed to be robbed again in gold rush).church predators

Both the wonderful cardinal and pope Frances love  the Poor, indeed they are desperately seeking new support from the poor and uninformed as the Catholic Church crashes in popularity, even  being condemned by the UN for making it illegal to report the rampant sex crimes against children by its criminal clergy. May 18, 2012 marks Haiti’s 209th flag day. The first Haitian flag lifting up Haiti’s independence was on May 18,1803 at Arcahaie. Those of us with conscience will spend the day exposing the Haitians helping in the imperial exploitation of Haiti and defending Haiti against this brutal US re-colonization. (See video, We would rather die standing; Hear Prof. Bayyinah Bello explain history of Haiti flag– Ezili’s May 18th Kreyòl feature.)
