Many organizations and groups around the world followed the call of the Internationalist Commune of Rojava, to defend the revolution in Rojava. We want to share some of the events, that will happen in this global days of actions. More will come…
With the spectacular betrayal and defeat of the two main militias in the Turkish paid NFL coalition the Al Qaeda (HTS) administration has taken control of the province of Idlib, which right now is an Al Qaeda sharia regime state, sponsored by Turkey.
While the western media were entertained with the Erdogan/Trump daily pantomime no one seemed to notice that the Tutkish paid mercenaries sent to the Manbij border to ”bury, plunder, rape and occupy”the Rojava Revolution were mainly recently recruited NFL jihadis from Idlib, and not Erdogan’s FSA terrorists still busy destroying Afrin.
The good news is that in future Erdogan’s other mercenaries, the FSA, will be wary about him sending them to invade and plunder Rojava…
Their weapons were seized and no other faction or their Turkish sponsors helping or supporting them. According to the Lebanese al-Mayadeen TV, more than 200 militants and 20 civilians were killed during the battle between HTS and the Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement. Nour al-Din al-Zenki suffered total defeat at the hands of HTS and lost all of its areas in western Aleppo.
Next in line were the biggest faction of the Turkish NFL jihadis, Ahrar al-Sham , who were defeated by Al Qaeda in just 3 days.
Mekut@Mekut_Mallet Leader of Syrian branch of al-Qa’ida (rebranded HTS), known as abu-Muhammad al-Jolani, supports Turkey in attacking Syrian Kurds. The Islamofascist axis AKP//HTS/ISIS has been planning to subjugate or exterminate Kurds and others who stand in their way. #Turkey#alQaeda#HTS
Then Erdogan forced the demoralised NFL facrions to sign the agreement giving administrative control to Al Qaeda/HTS, as many fled into the already terrorist infested Turkish occupied Afrin
Opposition websites agree that Turkey has cynically and murderously betrayed and destroyed its own paid allies, Al Zenki and Ahrar al-Sham, opening the door to a general attack by Syria/SAA and Russia on Al Qaeda/HTS (because all sides have labelled HTS as terrorists while the Turkish backed groups had some defense).
Was Erdogan wrong footed by Trump’s sudden withdrawal declarations into sending his mercenaries into a trap? ??
Maybe yes this was what happened, it was important perhaps for Turkey to make the preparations to attack Rojava real and concrete . One report suggested they hoped to get the vital ‘airspace bombing permission’ for a new invasion from the US and Russians by appearing that the invasion was going ahead anyway.
But things are never as they seem .. Some very suspicious circumstances..
Turkey apparently sent its untried NFL mercenaries from Idlib to attack Rojava via Manbij instead of its established FSA terrorist army.
Turkey has a thriving business with Idlib in the laughably named ‘demilitarized Zone’ (DMZ) via the Hatay/Turkey border. Al Qaeda/HTS is now a far-right religious administration with its own social services.
Turkey has expanded its ten bases in the Idlib ‘DMZ’ but made no effort to enforce the terms of the agreement.
Erdogan is supplying arms to his mercenaries (now seized by Al Qaeda HTS) but also all kinds of supplies, international aid, and trade, all taxed by the Al Qaeda/HTS regime which controls road access here and elsewhere.
NFL mercenaries have been complaining recently in online comments that their pay has been cut (partly caused by the collapse of the Turkish Lira in which they are paid). One comment claimed ”Turkey is paying double to Al Qaeda/HTS militants” causing mass defection of desperately poor rebels.
So what will happen next?
Perhaps Turkey will now defend Idlib as a client state, hoping it will be one more jewel in the racist, misogynist, jihadist ‘New Ottoman Empire’.
Reports suggest the Al Qaeda takeover has caused fear in Idlib of an all out attack by the massive SAA Syrian army which is entrenched around the east and south of the area.
The chorus of demands, no doubt orchestrated by Turkey, is resuming, asking that the Turkish army intervene to stop the ‘evil Assadis’ committing ‘a shocking massacre of civilians’ with their ‘poison gas attacks’.
An agreed invasion or ‘increase on troops to enforce the DMZ agreement’ could make Idlib forever a Turkish Empire protectorate, and set the stage for the ”cleansing” of Rojava where Turkey promises to ”bury the Kurds in their ditches”.
Erdogan already has 10 bases in Idlib. He, or his script writing team, are experts in threats and blackmail, (put the words ‘Erdogan Threatens’ in google and you find many pages of threats!) with ”leverage” over Russia due to key pipelines, nuclear and arms sales, etc. Leverage over Syria as he already occupies and is ‘turkifying’ Afrin, Jarablus, Azaz and Al Bab. Turkey also has blackmail ammunition over the EU with the oft repeated threat to let loose a new flood of refugees. And over the US with the threat of leaving NATO, cancelling arms agreements, etc.
Hopefully despite all the threats and Machiavellian maneuvering, Erdogan’s plans will come unstuck again. But the increasing evidence that Turkey sacrificed its own supposedly ‘moderate’ mercenary allies to be wiped out by Al Qaeda show again what level of War Criminals are at work.
Jailed Kurdish opposition politician Leyla Güven has reached a critical condition and has been unable to see her lawyer for four days due to health problems caused by her long-running hunger strike, Turkish news site Diken reported.
Güven, who is both the co-chair of the Democratic Society Congress, an umbrella organisation for Kurdish groups, and a deputy for the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), is imprisoned pending trial in Diyarbakır, south-east Turkey after being arrested in January 2018 for criticising Turkey’s military operation against Kurdish militias in northwest Syria.
The Kurdish deputy is one of nine from the HDP who are currently held behind bars in Turkey, including the party’s former co-chair, Selahattin Demirtaş. The party is particularly vulnerable to prosecution due to perceived links tying it to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), an outlawed group that has fought Turkish security forces for Kurdish self-rule since the 1980s.
Day 68 of Leyla Güven’s Hunger Strike in Turkish prison. Her health has rapidly deteriorated & is now at life threatening stage. Silence is no longer viable, in fact, it is complicity at this stage. #LeylaGuven< Morning Star@M_Star

Trump’s abrupt decision to pull troops out of Syria effectively gave Ankara the green light to take over and Turkify the remaining Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Syria, including important oilfields.
Turkey was all set to invade, poised to first take over the Manbij area and city, with thousands of jihadi mercenaries and its 500,000 strong army.
Then on Friday 28th Dec. the Kurds, in agreement with the Manbij Council invited Assad’s Syrian army to take control and the SAA immediately agreed and its troops planted the Syrian flag near the city….

comment.. ‘An RT video shows Turkish troop convoys invading Syria at Jarablus. The Kurdish invitation to Assad’s troops to defend Manbij from Turkey and its slavering, drugged, jihadi mercenaries has been accepted by Syria and some SAA troops are near the city.
However Erdogan seems to be going ahead with his invasion .. because it has nothing to do with a few Kurds being on the local multi ethnic council, and everything to do with destroying the Rojava Revolution, especially the liberation of women, and opening the way for a full scale invasion of eastern Rojava.
Erdogan is fuming mad, hopefully by just a day or two he has been prevented from seizing Manbij… which he would never ever give back.
Erdogan wants to genocide the Kurds and their customs, language and democratic revolution, but even more he wants to invade, take over and Turkify another province on the way to creating his boasted new Ottoman Empire’….
by martyrashrakat ”The Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) controlling the area with arms does not have the right or power to make a statement or invite other elements on behalf of the local population,” the Turkish defense ministry said’…..
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has refused to believe the Syrian
statement, brushing it aside as just a “psychological action.”Later in the day, the Turkish military crossed into Syrian territory at the border town of Jarablus Several convoys of Ankara’s armored personnel carriers were seen making their way through streets.
Reported troop entry into Manbij comes after Kurdish YPG asked for government help in preventing a ‘Turkish invasion’. But a senior Kurdish official, Ilham Ahmed, reportedly told AP that government troops have arrived but not yet entered the city. The military declaration came moments after the People’s Protection Unit, or YPG, made an appeal to P.resident Bashar al-Assad‘s government to prevent a “Turkish invasion”. Thousands of Turkish paid jihadi mercenaries had gathered on the Manbij border backed by the 500,000 strong Turkish army, but can now only proceed risking a Turkish war with Syria. “The aim is to ward off a Turkish offensive,” Ahmed said. “If the Turks’ excuse is the [Kurdish fighters], they will leave their posts to the government,” she said. Syria said no autonomy offer has been offered to the YPG, but they did not make demands that they disarm, as happened in Afrin. The US still has two posts around Manbij but they are due to pull out. Erdogan furiously called the announcement a ‘False Psyop’ but Turkey will now have to make new plans to continue its genocidal plot to expand the ´’Ottoman Empire’.
Trump’s abrupt decision to pull troops out of Syria has effectively given Ankara the green light to push into the remaining Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Syria.
After a long bloody siege Manbij was liberated from ISIS terror in 2016. Now with Trump’s sellout/betrayal and Russian and Syrian permission, the neo-fascist expanding Erdogan regime is letting loose its paid jihadi gangs to destroy the Manbij revolution, enslave women as before, and open the way for a real genocide in eastern Rojava.
Following the US decision to withdraw troops from Syria, the Turkish state has increased invasion attempts targeting Kurds. Massive invasion preparations are well advanced around Manbij area which will be a relatively easy target when the small US presence clears out.
The report below on the women’s revolution in Manbij was written before their betrayal by the USA. The Trump/Erdogan ‘roadmap’ plans to ‘hand over’ to the FSA jihadist terrorist mercenaries sponsored by Turkey the cities of Manbij, Raqqa the ISIS capital and other areas where ISIS was heroically expelled despite heavy losses by the SDF, which includes the YPG/YPJ .
The agreement says that Turkey and the US will ”jointly guarantee security”. It looks like the city of Manbij, liberated from IS terror after a long and bloody fight, the first and shining example of the revolutionary ideals of Rojava applied to a multi ethnic area, will be attacked by Erdogan’s hired jihadi FSA, with US consent.
After liberation a new Manbij Council was set up, with women and all races and religions fairly represented, and it has prospered and gained popularity despite a near total blockade by Turkey. The Kurdish YPG/YPJ withdrew already in 2016 leaving security to the new Manbij Military Council, now they have also withdrawn their ‘advisors’ from that council, leaving Turkey no excuse for a direct attack.)
With the defeat of the IS in Syria and especially after the liberation of Raqqa in October 2017, the Turkish state intensified its threats and attacks on the Democratic Confederation of Northern Syria. On this background the Turkish occupation war on Afrin started on the 20th January 2018 violating international law and the sovereignty of its neighbour country.
The Turkish army has launched this war in cooperation with jihadist groups of the FSA ranks. Many of them are former Al-Qaida or IS members. Since the beginning of March, all districts and the city centre of Afrin had been under heavy bombardments, shelling and drone surveillance by the Turkish army targeting especially civilians.
#BreakSilenceOnAfrin One of the hundreds of former ISIS fighters who fled to Turkey, recruited as “FSA” and now is attacking Afrin together with turks. This is turkey’s war on Kurds.
On March 18th more than 200,000 people left the town centre and were evacuated in order to avoid a physical genocide. Since then the majority of refugees are staying in the Shehba region without security guarantees or international support.
In this new phase, the confrontation between the international powers and their interests is increasing all over Syria.
Last week’s Developments inside Afrin
After 78 days of resistance against Turkish occupation war, hundreds of thousands of people from Afrin Canton are still displaced and facing difficult conditions. The Turkish army and its jihadist allies are implementing ethnic cleansing, assimilation and colonisation policies, making preparations to add the region Afrin de-facto to Turkey’s state territory.
At the same time thousands of jihadists have been transferred from Goutha to Afrin to create demographic changes and install an Islamic-Turkish order.
The resistance of YPG-YPJ forces in the all districts of Canton Afrin carries on, as well as the resistance of the displaced people from Afrin in Sherawa and Shehba region.
Civilians run for cover from explosions in the city of Afrin in northern Syria on March 18, 2018, after Turkish forces and their rebel allies took control of the Kurdish-majority city.
Turkey has extended it threats now towards Til Rifat/Shehba region, Minbij and Shingal. Moreover, the tension between the two blocks Russia-Turkey-Iran and the US lead International Coalition are growing.
War and Humanitarian Situation
The conditions of Afrin’s people displaced in Shehba region are still very precarious and insecure. However, works to build camps and to organised delivery of supplies and humanitarian aid are organised by the Democratic Self-administrations of Northern Syria and the Kurdish Red Crescent. Democratic Federation of Northern Syria – Communities across northern Syria have begun to rebuild following the cessation of six years’ worth of conflict that transformed once-thriving areas into bombed-out ghost cities.
Battles between hardened fighters from the Islamic State of the Levant (ISIL) continue around Deir-ez-Zor as units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) watch over ISIL’s recently-captured former capital city of Raqqa. Meanwhile, residents are taking steps to re-inhabit the Kobane Canton and other areas recently gained from the Islamic State
Unicorn Riot contributors visited the recovering cities of Kobane and Manbij in northeastern Syria as well as the grim frontline of armed conflict in Deir-ez-Zor, and obtained photographs from Raqqa. The following video presents various elements of life in Syria, such as displaced residents fleeing ISIL control, scoping out an ISIL holdout, clearing a booby-trapped building in Deir-ez-Zor, as well as rebuilding and creating new apartment blocks in Kobane.Bombed-out buildings litter the landscape of Kobane – November 2017
