Bolsonaro and Sons in Brazilian Death Squads

»Extensive, direct, multilayered, and deeply personal ties to the paramilitary gangs and militias responsible for Brazil’s most horrific violence».

This 18 March 2019 video speaks for itself:

Investigations now point to President Bolsonaro as a Death Squad promoter and paymaster. The evidence so far is enough to convict in many countries, but the corrupt Brazilian judges support him.

Jair Bolsonaro’s Close Family Ties to Paramilitary Gangs Drew Scrutiny Ahead of White House Visit

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro is in Washington and met U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday. While the trip officially is focused on the joint efforts of the U.S. and Brazil to change the government of Venezuela, it is being billed by the Bolsonaro government as a “restart” of his presidency and image after multiple, serious scandals crippled the first three months of his presidency.

But when it comes to recreating his image, the timing of this trip could hardly be worse. Key news events of the last several weeks — including the arrests of two former Rio de Janeiro police officers for the March 2018 assassination of Rio City Council Councilor Marielle Franco — have highlighted the most damaging and, to many, most terrifying revelations  ..about Bolsonaro and his three politician sons –

 – Their extensive, direct, multilayered, and deeply personal ties to the paramilitary gangs and militias responsible for Brazil’s most horrific violence.

On arriving in Washington Bolsonaro went first not to meet congress members but to report in to the CIA headquarters.

Watch our video report above on the growing, multilevel, personal, and highly disturbing links between Bolsonaro and his family on the one hand, and the country’s most violent, lawless, and murderous paramilitary gangs on the other.

Bolsonaro’s Worst Comments

“I wouldn’t rape you because you don’t deserve it.”to Brazilian congresswoman Maria do Rosario ,

“The Congress today is useless … let’s do the coup already. Let’s go straight to the dictatorship.”interview with Playboy magazine.

»If I see two men kissing each other on the street, I’ll beat them up.”  comment on Gay marriage.

“ I would be incapable of loving a homosexual son.”

“Unfortunately, it will only change on the day that we break out in civil war here and do the job that the military regime didn’t do: killing 30,000. If some innocent people die, that’s fine. In every war, innocent people die.” 1999 interview.

“I have five children. Four are men, and then in a moment of weakness the fifth came out a girl.” at Rio de Janeiro’s Hebraica Club in April 2017.

In other comments Bolsonaro promised to -abolish indigenous reserves and open the Amazon to exploitation, -institute the death penalty, -empower police to kill suspects, -tear up environmental regulations and -rescue the country from political corruption through a military-inspired approach to governing.

Brazil’s mining ministry has received 4,073 requests from mining companies and individuals for mining-related activities on indigenous land. Brazilian Fascism Armed the Youth

It is difficult to describe what is happening in Brazil now that fascism has come to power. In 72 days, it means years of decline in a country that was the fifth largest economy in the world, achieving full employment and lifting 40 million people out of poverty. We are seeing all this crumble, and the worst, lives taken away by the proliferation of hatred, rejection of others, and exaggerated individualism versus inclusive collectivism.

Fascism transformed the life of the common individual, who is suffocating, indifferent to its political aspect, where fear and hatred reign today in Brazil.

We are talking about Brazil, where we find a minister of education who doesn’t speak Portuguese fluently, where a minister of human rights ruled that boys should wear blue clothes and girls pink. We can speak of the 13 million unemployed (12%) and a high rate of underemployed workers due to labour reform.

When walking in Rio de Janeiro or in any big capital one comes across entire families begging for money on the streets, sleeping on the sidewalks because the state simply does not exist for them. People who go through the garbage looking for scraps to eat, and recall that Brazil, under the Lula government, created the world-renowned zero hunger program..     continues  below

The coup against Dilma, organised by the rightwing elite and their bought-out legal system, was the signal for generalised looting by the rich, selling off of public resources, as well as abolishing of the progressive social measures of the Lula years.

Incredibly while Lula was imprisoned  and muzzled with blatant illegality a circus of US style mass hysteria elections put a grinning death squad leader as president of 208 million Brazilians. With a US organised media blitz Bolsonaro mobilised the small middle class and the huge poor would-be middle class.

He got a mandate to rule by decree and immediately set about the barely covert genocide and ecocide of the Amazon, selling everything of value to get illegal commissions and installing open military fascism on the directions of the USA.

continued from above .. As it descended the country forgot how great it is. We are 208 million people, we had the best construction companies, major food companies, an oil company that was one of the largest in the world and a leading aircraft factory in its operations.

Yes, Brazil descended the slope, as quickly as the incompetent are allowed, in a coup orchestrated from Washington, even though Barack Obama demanded that our president Rousseff’s phone be monitored in a manner agreed upon by the country’s elites.

When Brumadinho Dam broke, with more than 400 dead or disappeared, then Mariana Dam, it was to remind us how greed and failure of a controlling state could enable history to repeat itself.

Yesterday in the city of Suzano, in the state of São Paulo, the richest in the country, we witnessed the dawn of the present moment and the sensation of having no future. Two young men, one 17 and the other 25, were shot at their old school for killing anyone they encountered, they stole a car from their uncle’s auto agency, who was also killed, as he tried to prevent their action.

The carnage was stopped only when the police arrived, and the operation was planned for a year. In Brazil, television stations show the violence of major cities since afternoon, which is an instigating factor of crimes. In Brazil, the main arms manufacturer financed a political campaign to win the presidential elections.

“For years we were sold a postcard image of paradise, the country of Carnival, of happy, cordial people,” said Mônica Benício, Ms. Franco’s surviving partner. “The execution of Marielle, and the election of the current president, revealed to the world that we are racist, that we are sexist, misogynist, LGBT-phobic.”

In these 12 months of campaigning, young people were able to observe a candidate standing on a stage with a machine gun, say that he was going to machine gun affiliates of the Workers’ Party, defend torture, and then tell a congresswoman that “she would not get raped because she was not worthy,” who deserves to be raped?

The boys repeated the position of the hand in the form of a weapon used in the campaign, they posted photos with weapons on social networks and they liked the page of the current president of the Republic.

In these early days of the new government, four weapons per person were issued for use in his residence. Today the President’s move was to defend the use of weapons in public places, a method of driving us faster to the precipice. Issuing weapons can conceal the real causes of insecurity, unemployment, lack of education and healthcare, lack of income and dignity for human beings, as well as oversight and investigation of security forces.

It is clear that the environment favorable to the free use of weapons is the backdrop of this Brazilian tragedy. The irony of the disaster lay in the Ministry of Justice, the weapons manufacturer holding an hearing. Disconnection from public policies led the senator of the president’s party to declare that if the “teachers were armed, the 10 deaths would not have occurred”. That is when the slope ends.

We cannot say that the escalation of violence is a surprise, which leads us to conclude that it is a phenomenon that is unfortunately worsening.

While it may appear that government politicians are not responsible for the act of madness of those young people, who are also victims of a destroyed society, the truth is that they bear real political responsibility for having created the climate of hatred that has overwhelmed the country ever since they took power with a coup and arrested Lula.

Hatred alone would be the instrument to assault the conscience of the population, sowing anger and prejudice, fundamental characteristics of Brazilian fascism. The concern over how much longer fascism will rob us of peace becomes urgent, because every second of terror is an immensity of time.

So far, this year, a total of 126 women have already been murdered. The protesters also warn that femicides are prevalent in the country that, in 2018, registered one of the highest rates in the world; with an astounding 70% of the victims being black.

Thousands of Brazilian women marched, throughout the main streets of the country, within the framework of the global demands of International Women’s Day and to warn of the threatening setbacks of the right-wing government of Jair Bolsonaro.

In the global manifesto of the March 8 protests, agreed upon by activists from several countries, Bolsonaro was a recurring theme in the chants and mentioned as «starting a war» against the poor, women, black people and members of the LGBT community.

The son of Brazil’s president, Flavio Bolsonaro, has been linked to the mother and wife of Captain Adriano Magalhaes da Nobrega, accused by national prosecutors of participating in the murder of counselor Marielle Franco and her driver Anderson Gomes.

According to local media, Raimunda Veras Magalhaes, mother, and Danielle Mendonça da Costa da Nobrega, wife, worked for Flavio until November 2018

Captain Magalhaes da Nobrega was accused by Brazilian prosecutors of leading the ‘Crime Office’ organization, the main suspect in the political murder.

Nobrega’s mother was pointed out as one of the employees that transferred money to the accounts of Fabricio Queiroz, who was her friend and is being investigated for financial irregularities by the Financial Activities Control Council (COAF).

Image result for marielle FrancoA report published by the COAF says that Raimunda is currently the owner of a restaurant that transferred up to US$24,358 reportedly coming from money laundering.

Adriano Magalhaes da Nobrega has been declared a fugitive and Brazilian authorities link him to an operation known as ‘The Untouchables,’ related to Franco’s murder.

“Marielle still represents — if only in memory — a threat to the status quo,” said Renata da Silva Souza, one of three black women elected to city council after Ms. Franco’s death.

Marielle Franco, an Afro-Brazilian member of the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL) and a feminist councilwoman who was critical of police violence and the right-wing government, was assassinated in Rio de Janeiro along with her driver Anderson Gomes the night of Mar. 14, two weeks after she was named a rapporteur in a special commission to monitor military intervention in Rio de Janeiro.

Authorities are investigating irregular movements done through ATMs at the Legislative Assembly. According to the report, Queiroz apparently transferred big quantities between 2016 and 2017 using those ATMs, and Flavio Bolsonaro continued the duty later with almost 50 movements.

The COAF detected about US$305,000 in Queiroz’s account, who was Flavio’s personal driver and adviser for years, raising suspicion. Queiroz skipped two appointments with prosecutors citing health problems. He then argued that the money came from his side-business as a car broker. “I’m a businessman. I make money,” he declared.

The Bolsonaro family has been linked with the Queiroz for decades. When the news about the financial irregularities broke out, president Jair Bolsonaro explained that US$10,662 transferred by the former driver to his wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, were due an old personal loan.
